An Adoption Service Provider (ASP) is a licensed adoption social worker who advises an expectant or birth parent when they are considering placing their child for an independent adoption. In an independent adoption, the birth parent selects the family for the child and places the child directly with the selected family. Independent adoption also helps secure an additional legal parent in situations of third-parent adoptions or adoptions for couples that are unmarried or not registered domestic partners.​

Nina provides caring and competent services, which include advisement and consent meetings for birth parents and coordinating with the Department of Social Services, attorneys, and adopting parents.​
